Caity lotz as annie casper van dien as creek mark steger as charles haley hudson as stevie kathleen rose perkins as liz sam ball as. June 8th i can honestly say that it is quite some time since i have seen such a genuinely chilling film as the pact. As i thought, it was a good, but not great chiller, with some stiff acting and a neat twist.

I found it, above all. If you haven’t watched the pact, you may want to skip this until you do. Smart and effective, nicholas mccarthy's film does a solid job eliciting real.

The pact does contain a little piece of each genre and does avoid the obvious clichés which is a nice welcome. I disagreed with some of the more critical reviews out on the pact. Movie review of the new horror film the pact starring caity lotz, kathleen rose perkins, haley hudson, sam ball, mark steger, agnes bruckner, casper van dien and directed by nicholas mccarthy

The pact is a slow burner horror film with some scenes that don't come off scary just more like trying to be scary, but there are scenes in this that do come off creepy and at least the movie has a sense of atmosphere so it will be easy to build up something. The story is about a nicole (bruckner) and annie (lotz) reluctantly return to their childhood home to pay their last respects. The pact is a 2012 american supernatural horror film written and directed by nicholas mccarthy and starring caity lotz and casper van dien.the film was made following the success of mccarthy's short film of the same name which premiered at the 2012 sundance film festival.the film follows annie, whose mother has recently died, as she tries to discover what caused her sister nicole and her.

The plot of the pact is actually good and attractive. Unsettling debut the pact, a story of a mother’s fight to save her diabetic daughter’s life, is elegant, very atmospheric and cleverly worked. The best thing the pact has going for it is the way it manages to play its cards right, despite the fact that it doesn't have many aces up its sleeve.

The pact is an intermittently effective horror film, occasionally finding a spooky atmosphere and some genuine jump scares to go long with it. The pact is a movie undecided of it's genre, a mix of suspense/horror with paranormal and thriller. Brady ★★★ the pact is a horror movie that's done in a way that makes it a lot different to other horror movies at that time, and i'm talking about the slow build up and suspense.

With caity lotz, casper van dien, mark steger, agnes bruckner. The pact 2 (2014) review. As a woman struggles to come to grips with her past in the wake of her mother's death and the disappearance of her sister, an unsettling presence emerges in her childhood home.

The pact 2 did not progress much more than the original pact. The pact, originally released as a short by nicholas mccarthy to the sundance film festival, and made into a feature once funding was secured on the back of those reviews and accolades, is a mixed bag of horror/thriller and cliché. The percentage of approved tomatometer critics who have given this movie a positive review about audience score the percentage of users who rated this 3.5 stars or higher.

Tv movie tackles controversial issue of teen parenthood. The pact ii movie review i actually had to go back and read my original review of the pact , in order to remember what it was about and how much i liked it. Written and directed by nicholas mccarthy 2012, 89 minutes, not rated released on vod on may 25th, 2012 and theatrically on july 6th, 2012.

There’s an uneasy mood that comes from it, and it helps build up the slow burning quality to a lot of scenes in the first half (the fact that mccarthy builds certain scenes around cell phones, laptops and other pieces of technology is one of the more interesting parts of the movie. At first, it started as a ghost story, then moved the momentum to some kind of a detective one and ends in mixing these two types. The new horror outing … continued

But succumbing too often to the tired tropes and cliches mainstream horror has sadly become know for over the last few years, it fails to add up to anything beyond yet another haunted house horror.
